About my flies
Some of the local fishermen asked if I could make this salmon trolling fly for them and my reply was get a couple of samples for me to look over and I'll let you know. As you can tell by the photos it was a successful venture. 2007 was my first year in business and the fishermen liked the looks, quality and success rate of my flies. My flies are hand tied and painted, consist of white and colored buck tail hair, aurora flash, a 6/0 red Gamakatsu hook and 40 pound test line. The flies range from 3 to 4 1/2 inches long and are made here locally in Coffman Cove. One of my customers told me my flies suck.......... the fish right into the boat. Some told me they wanted to be out fishing all day but my flies were so good they were only out trolling for a couple hours, had caught their limit and had to come in for the day.
